1. Wash 2 pounds of whole skinless bone-in chicken legs (thighs and legs) and pat the pieces dry using a kitchen tissue. Make 3-4 slits on each piece using a sharp knife.

3. Mix the ingredients for the first marinade that are 1 tsp salt, 2 tsp lime juice, 2 tsp ginger garlic paste, and 1 tsp Kashmiri red chili powder in a bowl along with chicken and mix them nicely using your fingers. Cover the bowl with a lid or a cling film and refrigerate for an hour.

Add the ingredients for the second marinade that are 2 tbsp thick yogurt, 1 tsp ginger garlic paste, 1 tsp Kashmiri red chili powder, ½ tsp black pepper powder, ½ tsp turmeric powder, ½ tsp cumin powder, ½ tsp garam masala powder, 1 tsp coriander powder, 2 tbsp mustard oil, 1 tsp lime juice, 2 tbsp heavy cream and 1 tbsp Kasuri methi to the bowl and mix them well.
