2. Pour the wine and rum over the top.
3. Cover and place in the refrigerator for 4 - 5 hours.
4. Remove from refrigerator and add the lemon lime soda. Add a few pieces of the fruit to your glass and pour sangria over to serve.

1. Reserve 6 strawberries and set aside. Slice the remaining strawberries and place them in a blender. Sprinkle them with the sugar and stir.
2. Let the strawberries stand for 20 minutes at room temperature. Then add 1/2 cup of the wine to the blender and blend until strawberries are fully pureed. Pour the through a fine mesh strainer / sieve into a large pitcher and use a spatula to press the strawberry puree through. Discard the seeds.
3. Add the remaining wine and Grand Marnier to the pitcher. Then add the fresh mint, orange and lemon rounds. Slice the 6 reserved strawberries and add them to pitcher.
4. Stir and refrigerate the pitcher for at least 1 hour, or up to 4 hours. (Don’t go beyond 4 hours or the fruit texture starts to degrade.)

1. In a large saucepan over medium heat, combine trimmed strawberries, sugar and water. Bring just to a boil, stirring until the sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat and cool to room temperature.
2. Once the strawberry mixture is cooled, press the mixture, a little at a time, through a mesh sieve placed over a bowl, pressing down on the strawberries to extract as much syrup as possible (you should have about 3 cups of syrup). Discard the solids.
3. In a 2-quart pitcher, stir together the syrup and wine. Cover and chill up to 24 hours.
4. Just before serving, stir in the sparkling water. Garnish with sliced strawberries as desired.
