Christmas crack chex mix is so addictive and easy to make in less than 30 minutes. This sweet and salty no bake snack is the perfect treat. In a large bowl, mix the Chex, Cheerios, pretzels and M&M’s. Place the white chocolate in a microwave safe bowl. Microwave for 1 minute. Stir and then melt in 30 second increments.
This Sticky Sweet and Salty Chex Mix gets its name for good reason! Once you start you just can’t stop. A simple syrup (with LOTS of butter) gets drizzled over corn Chex and studded with nuts and M&Ms. It is salty-sweet perfection! In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium-high heat. Add the corn syrup and sugar. Bring to a boil.
In a large bowl, mix the Chex, Cheerios, pretzels and M&M’s. Place the white chocolate in a microwave safe bowl. Microwave for 1 minute. Stir and then melt in 30 second increments. Make sure you stir in between. (stirring in between). Be careful not to overcook. Pour the melted chocolate over the chex mix and stir until well coated.
Remove from heat once it’s a caramel consistency. Stir in vanilla, cashews and peanuts to get them completely coated. Spray a large bowl with nonstick spray. Spray a large baking sheet with plenty of nonstick spray. Add the Chex to the greased bowl, then pour the syrup over the cereal and stir to combine.
