3. In a pan: Using a saute pan, heat 1 tbsp of olive oil over medium heat. Add the salmon, skin side down, and cook on one side for 4-5 minutes. Flip the salmon and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until done to your liking. For medium cooked salmon, turn the heat off when you flip the fish and let it continue to cook in the pan for 2-3 minutes.
4. On the grill: Place the salmon on the grill skin side down. Cook for 4-5 minutes until it is becoming pink and opaque on the sides. Flip and cook for 2-5 minutes to the level of doneness you prefer. For easier flipping, place the salmon on foil to be sure it won't stick to the grill.
