1. Drain the water from pineapple and set aside, don’t discard the water, will be used later.
2. Melt the ghee in a frying pan on medium heat. Add sooji and roast to brown color; stirring constantly this will take about 5 to 8 minutes. After sooji is roasted half the way add almonds and roast with sooji. Sooji should be brown in color and will have a light sweet aroma.

2. In a skillet (kadahi) take ghee and sooji and cook for 5 minutes. Add oil/butter and cook for 20 minutes on medium heat, till the sooji turns light brown. With the skillet on the stove, add cardamom powder, then add water-sugar solution slowly, stirring with a spoon and allow the water to evaporate (it would take about 5-7 minute). Garnish with slivered almonds.
3. Garnish with a few grated almond pieces.
