WebOne of the best smoked paprika recipes, this easy shrimp paella recipe with artichokes is simply stunning. Here’s how to make this …

Reviews: 1Category: Main DishCuisine: SpanishTotal Time: 45 mins1. Mince the onion. Mince the garlic. Finely chop the tomatoes, removing the cores but keeping the seeds with their juices.
2. Measure out all the remaining ingredients before you start. The cooking process goes fast!
3. Dry the shrimp and add it to a bowl with 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika and 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt. In your largest skillet or a 4-serving paella pan, heat 1 tablespoon olive oil over medium heat. Add the shrimp and saute until it is just barely opaque, about 1 to 2 minutes per side. Remove the shrimp and set it aside.
4. In the same pan, heat 3 tablespoons olive oil on medium heat. Saute the onion and garlic until just translucent, about 3 minutes, stirring frequently. Add the chopped tomatoes, the remaining 1 teaspoon smoked paprika and red pepper flakes, and cook until the tomatoes have broken down and most of the liquid is evaporated, about 5 minutes. Stir in the stock, saffron and 1 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt. Sprinkle the rice evenly across the broth and tap the pan with a spoon to evenly spread the rice. Bring to a medium simmer and cook without stirring until liquid is absorbed, about 18 to 22 minutes (adjust the cook time as necessary if using a skillet).

Servings: 3Calories: 552 per servingTotal Time: 55 mins1. Get started: Preheat the oven to 425 degrees. Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. Prepare the chicken: In a small bowl, stir together 2 tablespoons olive oil, 1 1/2 tablespoons lemon juice, smoked paprika, cumin and oregano. Pat the chicken dry and season with salt and pepper. Place the chicken in a large bowl and pour the marinade over the chicken. Toss to coat and let marinate. We recommend marinating for 20 minutes but that is optional. You can even marinate the night before or morning of your meal (just be sure to refrigerate).
3. Prepare the broccoli: Rinse the broccoli and chop into similar-size florets. Place the broccoli in a large bowl and drizzle with a tablespoon of olive oil. Then, season with salt and pepper and toss to combine.
4. Bake: After oven is done preheating (or chicken done marinating), place chicken thighs on one side of the pan, leaving a little space between each. Put pan in oven and bake for roughly 30 minutes. After 10 minutes in the oven, remove pan from oven and spread the broccoli on the other side of the pan, leaving a little space between each floret.

Total Time: 50 minsCategory: Main DishCalories: 653 per serving1. Assuming the Cauliflower Rice has been cooked and ready, continue with the recipe:
2. Preheat the oven to 180°C (fan oven). This is 200°C for conventional ovens (or 400°F / gas mark 6).
3. Season the chicken thighs with salt and freshly ground black pepper. Sprinkle the smoked paprika over the chicken thighs and use clean hands to massage the mixture into the thighs.
4. Heat the lard in a large, non-stick pan and fry three of the chicken pieces skin-side DOWN until the skin is golden and crispy. Turn each piece over and cook on the underside for only a minute. Remove and place skin-side UP into a large casserole dish or deep baking tray. (Use a dish larger than what you think you will need, as you will be adding plenty of cauliflower later.)
