They will melt, but they won’t brown unfortunately. That doesn’t matter so much in a rice krispie recipes because you don’t see the marshmallows much.
However, Rice Krispie Cereal is also available in Gluten Free (1 gram of sugar) which you can find online. Make this recipe a sugar free peanut butter rice krispie treats recipe. Originally, I had posted this recipe to be sugar free with a gluten free alternative. Now I have updated this recipe to include other alternatives as well!
