These were almost like the real German Potato Pancakes that all my real German relatives make. Exceptions were: You DO NOT drain the potatoes and all of them added onion and crumbled bacon. They only topped them with butter and SUGAR. Applesauce was a side dish to counter the sugar you put on them.

The sweet potato and scallions were a nice addition, and my entire family (bowl fans anyway) LOVED the combination of flavors. Next time I will double the sweet potato and chicken.
