1. Preheat the oven to 400˚. Combine the paprika, oregano, cayenne, 1 teaspoon each garlic powder and onion powder, 1 teaspoon salt and a few grinds of pepper in a small bowl.
2. Line a rimmed baking sheet with foil. Place the salmon skin-side down on the pan and sprinkle with the spice mixture, pressing gently to adhere.
3. Bake until the salmon is beginning to turn opaque and is just cooked through, 15 to 18 minutes.
4. Meanwhile, melt the butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
