In a blender or food processor, combine avocado, lemon juice, onion, and Worcestershire. Pulse until combined. (Leave some texture to the avocados.) Add cream cheese, sour cream, and salt. Pulse a couple of times. Stir in crab meat.
Authentic Maryland style crab cakes with just a few ingredients. In a medium bowl, mix the egg, mustard, hot sauce, Worcestershire and mayo. Fold crabmeat into the mixture. Add the old bay, crushed red pepper, salt, pepper, parsley and crackers and fold them into the crab meat.
Add the oil to a large pan over medium-high heat and allow it to begin bubbling. Add the crab cakes to the oil and cook for 4-5 minutes per side, until a brown crust forms. Once cooked on both sides, remove the crab cakes from the oil an drain any excess fat by placing them on a paper towel.
Add cream cheese, sour cream, and salt. Pulse a couple of times. Stir in crab meat. Chill dip until needed. Keep in mind that the avocado will discolor within a few hours, so make no more than a couple of hours before serving!
