Allow the water to evaporate and continue to add a tablespoon at a time {waiting to add more until fully evaporated} until you get the right color and consistency.
4. Butter one side of all slices of bread. Put half of the bread {butter side down} into the bottom of a 9x13 pan. If the bread doesn't fit perfectly then you can cut it down so that the entire bottom of the pan is covered.
