Best Ever No-Cook Play Dough Recipe. You need: 2 cups plain flour (all purpose) 2 tablespoons vegetable oil (baby oil and coconut oil work too) 1/2 cup salt. 2 tablespoons cream of tartar. 1 to 1.5 cups boiling water (adding in increments until it feels just right) gel food colouring (optional)
Basic Homemade Playdough Without Cream of Tartar. 1 Mix the flour, vegetable oil and salt together in a bowl. 2 Add a drop or two of food colouring to the water (watch how it mixes with the water). 3 Add water slowly as you mix the dough to the desired consistency (Only use what you need). 4 Store: in a sealed container.
