3. Add 1⁄2 cup of hot broth and cook, stirring constantly, until broth is almost completely absorbed. Continue to add broth, about 1⁄2 cup at a time, stirring until it is absorbed before adding more, until rice grains are just tender but still have a little bite at center. Cooking time should be 18 to 22 minutes from first addition of broth.
4. Stir in asparagus and a few tablespoons of broth and cook 1 minute. Stir in lobster meat and crème fraîche and cook, stirring gently, until lobster is heated through and asparagus is tender, about 2 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in basil. Top with freshly ground black pepper and serve at once.
