Paw lickin chicken was listed at only 3% carbs. I was sure that was listed as high carb in the past. I'm curious if they changed their formulas. Or maybe Lisa tested it again? Has anyone heard anything about this? I really love this food and if it really is low carb I will go back to feeding it a lot more. Dr. Pierson doesn't do any testing.
I purchased this pressure canner and now have homemade canned chicken, turkey, and rabbit cat food available for periodic feedings and for emergencies. This canned food also comes in handy if I have to be gone for 12 hours on a hot day. I leave this food out instead of the raw/semi-cooked diet.
The best and safest way to switch from high carb dry to low carb canned is to do it gradually, over a period of time. This is easiest on kitty tummies, and safer for diabetic kitties where you need to be alert to any BG or behavioral changes. Yong & Maury GA likes this. Jul 22, 2017
