3. Add in the beef mince and fry for another 4 minutes or until the meat has browned.

Cook for 6-7 minutes, until the beef is mostly browned, stirring occasionally. Add onion, green pepper when beef is about 3/4 done and stir to mix.
2. Add the broth or water, and the remaining canned ingredients. Stir well.
3. Add the chili powder, cumin, sugar, pre-minced garlic, smoked paprika, cinammon, pepper, and optional cayenne. Stir until well combined.
4. Bring the mix to a low boil for about 5 minutes. Then, reduce the heat (low to medium-low) to gently simmer, covered, for 20-25 minutes, stirring occasionally.

4. Add the remaining vegetables, the puree and the passata. Bring to the boil and then reduce the heat and allow to simmer for at least an hour with the lid on. You should check on the pan occasionally to make sure the sauce isn't drying out or catching on the bottom of the pan. If it is add a little more passata.
