It’s the ultimate low-carb tiramisu cake recipe, the perfect make-ahead keto dessert. Like most recipes I convert to be low-carb keto-friendly, they start with a craving. This keto tiramisu was no exception. In fact, I had been desiring a low carb tiramisu dessert for a while now.
When making tiramisu on a keto diet you can either use mascarpone cheese or cream cheese for this layer. Mascarpone cheese is the more traditional ingredient, but in many of our keto recipes we use cream cheese as a replacement because it is more widely available.
This easy keto dessert is quick to make and a great dessert to make ahead. A traditional tiramisu has 4 layers but this low carb version has only 2 layers as the coconut sponge finger layer may have been a bit too heavy for more layers.
But you can use pure monk fruit or stevia in the cheesecake batter. To get the same flavor as a regular graham cracker crust, you'll need to add cinnamon to the almond flour crust. A fat is needed to bind the keto cheesecake crust ingredients together. Although you can use coconut oil, real butter gives it a nice buttery flavor.
