Whether you choose to make one from scratch or use the mix, Hurricanes are a delicious cocktail to whip up at home. Shake all ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice and strain into a hurricane glass filled with ice. Garnish with a cheery and an orange slice. Mix ingredients and pour into 26 oz. glass with crushed ice.
There are 3 cups of passionfruit juice, 2 cups of pineapple juice and 1 cup of orange juice in this punch. 3/4 cup of grenadine and 1/4 cup of freshly squeezed lime juice are added in too. And finally 1 1/2 cups light rum and 1 1/2 cups dark rum are added in to complete this fabulous and gorgeous Hurricane Punch. Pour it into ice-filled glasses.
A tropical juice mix would be another viable option, particularly if it concentrates on passion fruit. It is typically mixed with pineapple and orange. While it wouldn't be the original hurricane recipe, it does make a very tasty drink as well.
There are two kinds of rum in the classic Hurricane Cocktail Recipe: white rum and dark rum. Two ounces of each in a single Hurricane makes it plenty potent, so you’re going to need to be careful with this one!
