This recipe mixture is very simple. It has only two ingredients with an optional third. Mix the liquid soap and water together and pour into an old laundry detergent bottle. Add the essential oil if desired and cap well. Shake to blend. To use, go by the markings on the cap for the detergent. This is usually about 1/4 cup per load.

put 2 cups WASHING soda, 2 cups Borax, the 4 cups dissolved laundry bar liquid & 16 cups warm water into the bucket. Stir until washing soda and borax are dissolved. Mixture will begin to gel quickly.
The homemade liquid laundry detergent, have always used 1/2 cup. Homemade powdered detergent, 2 tablespoons. That’s just me and I have soft water. I don’t know if that makes a difference. I am getting ready to make the he soap, the liguid, but I do not know how much to use. I use this recipe and it works really well.
