This low carb Snickers bar recipe makes a delicious sweet candy treat that can be enjoyed without guilt. Layering in a baking pan makes it quick and easy. In deep mixing bowl, whisk egg white until soft peaks form. Beat in cream of tartar, xanthan gum, vanilla, and 1 Tablespoon Steviva Blend.
Put the snickers bars into the freezer for 40-50 minutes. Then, slice into bars and return to the freezer while you prepare the chocolate. Melt the chocolate and the coconut oil in a Bain-marie (water bath) or in the microwave (2 x 30 second bursts, followed by 10 second bursts until almost, but not completely melted).
Melt dark chocolate with peanut butter in a microwave or a double boiler. Get your bars out of the freezer and pour melted chocolate over the second layers. Store them in the refrigerator for at least one hour before serving. Prepare an easy three-layer Snickers bars that are low-carb, sugar-free and made mostly from peanut butter and peanuts.
You may have seen Snickers protein bars at health food stores and online but honestly, they are NOT healthy at all. They contain just as many calories as standard snickers bars and tons of sugar. Like my favorite coconut protein bars, you can make your own homemade version!
