1. Preheat the oven to 180'C / Fan 160'C / Gas 4 and grease two 6-hole doughnut tins well with a little oil. (See notes if using a muffin tin instead)
2. Add the flour, sugar, cinnamon and baking powder to a large mixing bowl and stir together with a wooden spoon.
3. In a separate bowl, add the milk, oil, egg and vanilla extract and gently whisk together with a work until combined.
4. Pour the liquid ingredients into the dry ingredients and use a whisk to mix together until it forms a runny batter with no lumps.

1. Preheat the oven to 175C/350F. Coat a 12-count donut pan with cooking spray and set aside.
2. In a large mixing bowl, sift your flour into it. Add the rest of the ingredients and mix until a thick dough remains.
3. Spoon out dough amongst the donut pan. Lightly wet your hands and shape into the donut cavities. Do not overfill.
4. Bake for 12-17 minutes, or until just done, and a skewer comes out just clean. Allow to cool in the pan for 5 minutes, before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely. Once cool, dip the donuts in the melted chocolate.
