Prepare the bain-marie as follows: Fill a baking dish with water, one-third full, and allow the water to heat in the oven when it is preheating.
Place the pan in a large roasting pan. Prepare the flan. Place 1 can sweetened condensed milk, 1 cup heavy cream, 5 large eggs, 2 large egg yolks, and 2 teaspoons vanilla extract in a blender and blend until smooth. Pour into cake pan. Pour the flan mixture over the caramel in the cake pan.
