Add the chopped onion, bell pepper and celery to the pot and while it's cooking scrape up the burned bits from the bottom - this adds great flavor to the dish.Step5Cook over medium to medium-high heat, until the onion mixture (holy trinity) has totally cooked down- this will take about 15 minutes.Step6Add the minced garlic and cook a further 2 minutes, until you can start to smell the garlic.Step7Add the chicken broth and browning sauce. Give a good stir.Step8Add the rice and sausage back.Step9Bring to a boil, stir well, then add the shrimp and chicken.Step10Once the pot has started to bubble again turn off the heat.Step11Place the Dutch Oven into the oven and cook (undisturbed) for 1 hour. DO NOT LIFT THE LID.Step12Remove from the oven after the 1 hour - still do not lift the lid.
