WebDec 5, 2023 · Hello, I’m not sure that the sugar would make a difference. It can be oven temperature, the cake tin, under mixing, eggs not large enough or a mistake in the weighing out. Your cake may be fine. I would cut a sliver from the base to check the flavour and texture. Best wishes.
