2. 2 Melt the butter in a large saucepan over a low heat. Take the pan off the heat, then stir in the date purée with the remaining ingredients to combine. Press the mixture into the prepared tin with damp hands, then bake for 20–25 min until just golden.
3. 3 Remove and set aside to cool for 10 min. Cut into squares while still warm in the tin, then leave to cool completely. Store in an airtight container.
