Challenge Modes are a feature in Cookie Clicker, added in v2.0. Challenge Modes are available only through Ascension, and impose special conditions on a player. As of v.2.031, still only one Challenge Mode yet exists. It allows the player to complete Achievements only unlockable in that mode. You can choose a challenge mode with the cookie button next to the big "Reincarnate" button on the ascension screen.

For achievements in beta versions, see Cookie Clicker Beta. All achievements as of 2.031, not including Dungeon achievements. Achievements are badges you earn for achieving certain goals, and each one increases the amount of milk you have (except shadow achievements). They were introduced in version 1.026.
Unlike Normal and Shadow Achievements, Dungeon Achievements can only be obtained in the 1.037 beta Dungeons. As such, they're not always counted among the lists of achievements for Cookie Clicker since they are only obtainable through cheating. Cookie Clicker is available on Steam and mobile devices.
In the source code of version 2.0 of Cookie Clicker, a third challenge mode called 'Trigger finger' has been commented out. "In this run, scrolling your mouse wheel on the cookie counts as clicking it. Some upgrades introduce new clicking behaviors. No clicking achievements may be obtained in this mode.
