1. Combine the brown sugar and balsamic vinegar in a small saucepan. Stir over medium heat for 4-6 minutes, or until thick and syrupy. Remove from heat to cool.
2. Cut the lettuce into quarters lengthwise. Remove the core and a small amount of lettuce from each wedge, so you have a slight well.
3. Pour 3 tablespoons of low-fat blue cheese dressing over each wedge. Top each with a 1/4 cup of tomatoes. Sprinkle 2 teaspoons bacon bits and some green onion on each.
4. Slowly drizzle 2 teaspoons of the balsamic glaze back and forth across the salad.

2. Cut the bacon into pieces and cook the bacon in a skillet until crisp. Remove to a plate lined with paper towels.
3. Cut the iceberg lettuce in half. Cut each of the halves again in half or thirds (depending on how big the ice berg lettuce head is), to create "wedges". Place wedges on individual plates.
4. To serve, spoon dressing over lettuce and then sprinkle the bacon crumbles, tomatoes, onion and blue cheese crumbles on top. Season with fresh crushed black pepper, to taste.
