How do you make caramel cups?

These caramel cups, also called caramel tassies, are a real crowd-pleaser. They have a flaky crust with a creamy caramel filling. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Combine cream cheese, butter, and flour; mix to form a dough. Pinch off 48 equal pieces and press into mini tassie pans.

Is there such a thing as low carb caramel?

But it did! The low carb caramel turned out so tasty! The flavor, it turns out comes mostly from the butter and how golden brown you let it turn. The deeper brown, the richer the flavor of the caramel. Careful, though, don’t let it get too brown, it’ll taste a little burned.

How do you make caramel sauce without sugar?

Melt the butter in a small pan and let it cook until golden brown. This will give the caramel deeper flavor. Pour in heavy cream and stir until combined. Lower the heat and simmer for a minute. Add in sweetener of choice, we used erythritol. Let that dissolve for a minute. Add a pinch of salt as well.

How do you cook caramels in the microwave?

Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes or until lightly brown. Cool slightly, then carefully remove from the pans as they can break easily. Melt caramels and 1/2 cup evaporated milk in a microwave-safe bowl in the microwave on medium-high heat. Stir until creamy. Pour melted caramel into shells and top with frosting.
