2. As the jars are simmering, wash and dry the cherry tomatoes. Remove any leaves that may be attached. Using a clean knife, needle or skewer, prick each cherry tomato to allow the brine to penetrate the tomatoes. Peel the garlic cloves and cut them in half.
3. Measure out all the dry ingredients listed above. In a dry pan over medium heat, gently toast the dill seed, mustard seed, black peppercorns, and chili flakes. Once the spices are toasted remove the spices from the pan and set aside.
4. Measure out the vinegars, water, sugar and salt, and bring them to a boil in a small pot.

4. Once the pickling liquid is at a boil, pour the hot liquid into a glass measuring cup. Then use the measuring cup to pour the hot liquid into the jars. Fill the jars to the very top making sure to cover the tomatoes completely. Place the lids on the jars and allow the jars to cool at room temperature for an hour. This will help to cook the tomatoes slightly so they are not raw. Place them directly into the refrigerator after an hour. Keep jars stored in the refrigerator until they are ready to serve.
