What is Carbquik? Carbquik is a low carb baking mix shortcut that’s used in all kinds of recipes. Muffins, biscuits, cinnamon rolls, banana bread, pancakes, and pizza crust …
Bisquick was handy but it is not keto friendly, I would also say that if you look at the ingredients its not very friendly from those on the Standard American Diet (SAD), but again, its quick and convenient Sarah did some research and came across this Low Carb Bisquick recipe from Maria Emmerich over on her blog KETOadapted.
Carbquik is a low carb baking mix shortcut that’s used in all kinds of recipes. Muffins, biscuits, cinnamon rolls, banana bread, pancakes, and pizza crust are just a few examples of baked goods you can make with Carbquik baking mix. It’s used similar to how you’d use Bisquick. The main ingredient in Carbquik is carbalose flour.
How to Use This Mix? You are suppose Use this mix to replace any Bisquick and use the same amount. So if a recipe called for 1 cup of Bisquick and a egg, you’d substitute the Bisquick and use the egg. See a detailed explanation on Maria’s blog.
You can replace flour with Carbquik in most recipes. Very occasionally the liquid amounts in the recipe will need to be adjusted slightly, however. There’s no tried-and-true formula that applies to all recipes, so unfortunately you just have to give it a shot and hope for the best the first time around.
