1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
2. In a large bowl, gently combine the ground beef, egg, Lawry’s seasoning, salt, and pepper. Be careful not to over-work the beef. Shape it into hamburger patties. Press your thumb into the center of each patty to form a depression. Chill for 10 minutes.
3. Meanwhile, cook the mushrooms and onions over medium heat until the onions are translucent, about 5 minutes. Remove them from the heat.
4. Cook the burger patties in a pan over heat on each side until browned, about 2 minutes. (They don't need to be cooked through since they will cook further in the oven.)
