3. Press the dough into desired shapes, using a cookie press according to manufacturer's instructions. Place the cookies 1 inch apart on the prepared baking sheets. (Keep the remaining dough covered and refrigerated until ready to use.) Decorate with sprinkles (or sanding sugar), if desired.
4. Bake the cookies, one sheet at a time, until just set and lightly browned around edges, 9 to 10 minutes. Let cool for 3 minutes on the pan, then transfer to wire racks to cool completely, about 20 minutes. Repeat with the remaining dough.

4. Bake cookies for 8-9 minutes or until very lightly golden brown. Be sure to allow them to cool completely on the baking sheet before removing them to a cooling rack.
