2. Combine the maple syrup and balsamic vinegar in a small bowl.
3. Place the salmon fillets on a baking sheet, skin side down. Pour the glaze over the fillets, carefully to avoid it dripping straight off. Use a party brush if you have it available. Season with some pepper, and bake the salmon in the oven.
4. The salmon takes 10-15 minutes to cook, depending on the size of the fillets. It's ready to eat when you're able to easily flake the salmon with a fork.
