Once the tomatoes cook down into a canned or jarred variety, they are only about 4.7 NET Carbs for ½ cup as long as you do not add any sugar to it, and that’s perfect for a low carb/keto diet. A lot of jarred sauces have added sugar which pushes it out of the low carb category.
Normal durum wheat-based pasta is out of the question, but there are a lot of low carb options out there. Heat olive oil in a medium-sized saucepan over medium heat. Add onions and saute for 2 minutes until softened. Add garlic and saute for 30 seconds more. Add all the remaining ingredients to the pan and stir it up. Bring to a boil.
