2. Remove the strawberries (it's okay that they'll look kind of gross) and discard. Skim anything from the red water. This is the base of our syrup, so make sure it's free from leaves or strawberry pieces and skim off the bubbles and foam at the top.
3. Add the sugar to the strawberry juice and stir until dissolved (about 5-8 minutes).
4. To make a Sonic strawberry limeade, fill a glass with crushed ice and 1/3 of the way full of syrup. Fill the remaining with Sprite or 7-Up and add lime juice to taste.
