1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Coat 2 (9-inch) round baking pans with cooking spray; dust with flour. Microwave chocolate chips in a microwavable bowl on MEDIUM (50%) until melted and smooth, about 2 minutes, stopping to stir every 30 seconds.
2. Beat granulated sugar, brown sugar, and butter with a stand mixer fitted with a paddle attachment on medium speed until well blended, about 4 minutes. Add eggs, 1 at a time, beating until just blended after each addition. Add melted chocolate, beating until just blended.
3. Sift together flour, baking soda, and salt in a bowl; gradually add to butter mixture alternately with sour cream, beginning and ending with flour mixture, beating on low speed until just blended after each addition.
4. Place cola in a microwavable cup; microwave on HIGH until hot, about 45 seconds. Gradually add cola to flour-butter mixture in a slow, steady stream, beating on low speed until just blended. Beat in vanilla. Pour batter evenly into prepared pans.

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly spray a 9 x 13 pan with cooking spray. Mix first 5 ingredients (dry) together and sift well. Set aside. In a medium boiler, add butter, cocoa, coca cola and buttermilk. Heat until butter is melted and mixture just starts to bubble. Let cool for 5 minutes. Add to dry mixture and mix well.
2. Lightly beat 2 eggs and add to cake mixture as well as vanilla. Mix well and pour in prepared pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes or until knife or toothpick comes out clean. Do not cook more than 35 minutes though because you want cake to be moist. Allow cake to completely cool before icing.
3. In a medium boiler, add butter, cocoa and coca cola. Heat on medium heat until butter melts and mixture starts to boil. Only boil for about 15-30 seconds and remove from heat. Add in confectioners sugar and mix well to get out any lumps and icing reaches desired consistency.
