What the hell shrimp has a negligible amount of carbs. and finally I put some green onion on top after serving in a bowl, looks good and add a subtle additional layer of flavor. I also added more lemon zest as well during cooking. Definitely would change the dish completely. Whipping cream is synonymous with chowder. But maybe coconut cream!
If you'd like to thicken it, you can use any keto thickener that you like. One example is glucomannan powder - try mixing ½ teaspoon in a tablespoon of cold water and stirring that into the finished soup. However, keep in mind that authentic chowders are not necessarily thick. I love this recipe as is and almost always make it as written.
