I made this recipe the other night and found another cooking site that used 1 apple and 1/2 onion to replace the plum extract. It was pureed in a blender with the rest of the sauce ingredients. So I went with that. The meat tasted soooo good and it was quite saucy while cooking it down to a dry state. I served it on Rice noodles.
