3. Add the chopped red pepper and diced jalapeño and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes, stirring frequently.
4. Add the tomato paste, minced garlic, ginger, cumin, cinnamon, turmeric, cardamom, paprika, and about 3/4 tsp salt. Cook, stirring constantly, for 2 minutes. Remove from the heat.
