Added a couple mild italian sausages with the ground beef. Baked off the sliced, salted zucchini first and dried on paper towels. Used more than the listed ricotta and as always, added eggs, grated parmesan cheese, dried basil and salt & pepper to it. Husband loved it. Also, made sure to use a low carb pasta sauce and more than listed. Husband

At first I was concerned that the cake will not bake through, but during the baking ricotta layer sinks into the cake-mix layer and in fact the cake comes out with the chocolate layer on top. Once I made a half of the recipe in 8x8 form with about 3/4 of the ricotta and it also was good, just a bit dryer (which some might even prefer).

After reading the reviews stating that the ricotta layer falls to the bottom of the cake, I decided to plan for it by using a bundt pan instead of a 9" x 13" pan and made half the ricotta mixture (and added almond extract to the cake mix as well as 1/2 vanilla and 1/2 almond extract to the ricotta mixture), spooning it all over the top of the

An Italian meatball typically contains ground meat, specifically beef, garlic, eggs, parsley, and sometimes cheese. These recipes will mostly follow that structure, sometimes with an added twist. After having Italian friends and family from New York try this recipe and others, this recipe comes closest to what they are used to having. The strips along the top, or a top crust, is not authentic, at least not to the people I have asked, so they prefer the pie without it.

Great cheesecake! I halved the recipe; it filled three mini springform pans and two mini pie pans. Because the pans were smaller, I cut back the cooking time by 10 min and took them out of the oven just shy of two hours. If I halved the recipe again, I would try cutting back on the cooking time by 15 min and see how that works out.

These are delicious! For those who complained about the meatballs being too fragile, make sure you are actually following the recipe's measurements. Ricotta cheese sold in the small containers contains more than one cup. If you use too much ricotta, of course the meatballs won't hold together that well. (They'll still taste great, though.)

I had a cup of ricotta cheese leftover, so I cut this recipe in half. So glad I did, because I still ended up with 33 cookies. These are delicious, soft, cake-like cookies. I love the lemon glaze, but the glaze is the one thing that gave me difficulties in this recipe. It is like water if made as written.

amazing cake, I wonder how I didn't heard about it before! tried with cream cheese once and with ricotta another time, it was appreciated a lot, and you do it in a snap! 2nd time I put on the batter, before pouring the cheese mixture, pieces of milk chocolate (chunks coming from the Easter chocolate eggs), and the result was wonderful!

The recipe will rate 10 starts just by substituting cheese soup for the cream of mushroom. With 3 teenagers in the house, I always make a double batch and use 1 can of cream of chicken and 1 can cream of cheese. Much better with the tater tots. Also stretch the recipe by adding 2 cans of Veg-All vegetables.

I was looking for a recipe without ricotta cheese to make for my Dad. I doubled the recipe and used 1/2 ground beef and 1/2 Italian sausage. Instead of shredded mozzarella cheese I used the fresh soft mozzarella balls. They are too soft to shred so I diced them. I put a thin layer of sauce on the bottom of the pan before putting the filled
