Add a splash of water and your coconut oil into a saucepan and heat over low heat. Once the oil melts, add your cannabis and let it simmer over low heat. Stir the pan every few minutes to prevent your cannabis from burning. Keep simmering the oil for 3 hours to fully infuse the oil.
Lecithin is completely optional and you can still make cannabis-infused coconut oil without it. Use a slow cooker and mason jars for 4–6 hours the easiest odor-free method. Scoop your coconut oil into a mason jar and stir in your decarboxylated cannabis. Cover the jar with aluminum foil before screwing on the metal ring of the lid.
Place your flower and coconut oil in a mason jar (choose a size that will fit in your crock pot with the lid on). Stir gently. Add the lid to the mason jar, and screw it on tight enough to prevent outside water from getting into the jar, but not so tight that it will fully seal during the infusion process.
Once the coconut oil is fully melted you can add the lecithin- if you’re using granulated lecithin make sure it is mixed very well into the oil - no clumps. Leave it on very low heat while you work on the next step.
