1. Place sugar and water in a pan over medium heat and reduce until the liquid is halved. It will have a syrup-like consistency.
2. Divide the simple syrup and raspberries equally into the jars - you may want to add less syrup than indicated here (1/4 cup each jar) depending on your personal preferences. (You could also store the additional simple syrup separately and then add to the completed moonshine, to taste.)
3. Top each mason jar with vodka.
4. Place your mason jars in a fridge with the lid slightly open for up to two weeks. The raspberries will have lost their red color, but the vodka will be bright red.
