Mix 1 generous tbsp of Rajah Tandoori Masala with 2 cups of natural yogurt. Soak the chicken pieces in the yogurt mixture overnight. Remove the chicken pieces from the mixture and drain the excess. Wrap the pieces in the tin foil and place in a pre-heated oven (190°C/375°F/Gas Mark 5) and bake for 1 hour 10 minutes.
Mix 3 tbsps (30g) of Tandoori Masala with 200ml of Natural Yoghurt and add to 300g of chicken or poultry. Allow to marinade for at least 1 hour before cooking.
Tandoori masala is very popular and used extensively with dishes as Tandoori Chicken in which the chicken is marinated with the Tandoori masala and plain yogurt before roasting it in a traditional tandoor at very high heat. For allergens, see ingredients in BOLD.
Yogurt is used for the tangy flavor and to make the chicken more tender. I found that using yogurt in the marinade left a terrible mess on the grill that took forever to clean. This no yogurt tandoori marinade leaves the chicken just as tender and melt-in-your-mouth without all the mess. No food coloring in this tandoori.
