This tinted lip balm is made with excellent ingredients, including many of the same ones you’ll find below. This recipe makes approximately twelve .15 ounce tubes or four 1/2 ounce pots. 1 tablespoon plus one teaspoon coconut, olive, sweet almond, or jojoba oil (where to buy olive oil , sweet almond oil, or jojoba oil)
Add in the olive/almond, or jojoba oil and stir until thoroughly melted. Stir in the mica powder and stir thoroughly. Remove from heat and allow to sit for a minute or so, then stir again. Pour the liquid into .15 ounce lip balm tubes or 1/2 ounce tins and allow to cool.
The reason I think this amazing DIY lip balm with coconut oil is so super lasting it’s the all natural ingredients. I used five ingredients only: coconut oil, almond oil, beeswax, essential oils and gel food coloring. For the beeswax, I first shredded it into small pieces using a grater. The smaller the beeswax, the easier it is to melt it.
Keep your lips soft and hydrated with this homemade vegan lip balm. Place the wax and coconut oil in a small microwave-safe dish. Microwave in 15-second intervals until melted, then stir with a popsicle stick or toothpick to blend it all together.
