4. Prepare the Mongolian Beef: In a medium sauce pan over medium-high heat, heat the 2 teaspoons of vegetable oil. Add the garlic and ginger; sauté to for 2 minutes. Add the tamari, water, hoisin sauce and brown sugar. Reduce heat to medium and allow to come to a simmer stirring often. Simmer for 3-4 minutes, stirring often. Remove from heat.
