Preparation for methi paratha In a bowl mix atta, salt, finely chopped methi leaves, curd, garam masala, chili powder or green chilies and garlic. Begin to knead, adding water little by little to make a soft pliable dough. Pour 1 tsp oil & knead again for a min or 2. Let this soak for at least 20 mins. Divide the dough to 6 to 7 parts.
You can use any vegetable oil or even olive oil to make these yummy thin Parathas. Mix flour, chopped methi leaves, salt, carom seeds, cumin seeds, red chili powder, ginger, garlic, and 2 tablespoon oil in a bowl. Keep the mixture aside for 10 minutes. Methi will leave water in this time. Now add some more water an knead to make a soft dough.
1. rinse 1 cup tightly packed methi leaves very well in water. drain them completely. chop the methi leaves finely and keep aside. in a bowl or parat add 2 cup atta/whole wheat flour and salt. then add the chopped methi leaves, 1 or 2 finely chopped green chilies, 1.5 tsp finely chopped garlic and 2 tsp oil.
