This burger from Jamie Oliver's Comfort Food is for both of you: it delivers classic flavor all juiced up and a little weird, in a wonderful way. Oliver takes the traditional components and gets kinda nutty with them, adding slight twists that really do make this a worth-a-try-even-if-you're-sick-of-burgers burger.
Use your clean hands to scrunch the beef mince together really well, then divide into 6 equal balls. Squash and shape them into burger patties, nice and tightly so they don’t fall apart during cooking! Place them on a tray, cover, and leave them to rest in the fridge until you’re ready to cook. Wash your hands. Prepare your toppings.
[TIPS] If you can’t afford to splurge on the beef, add 2 tablespoons of bacon grease or olive oil to your beef – it really makes the burgers juicy and taste nicer. This trick also gives a little more moisture to grass-fed beef which can sometime be a little lean.
