Make Ina Garten’s sugar cookies by sifting together 24 ounces of flour, 1 1/4 teaspoons of baking powder and 3/4 teaspoons of salt in one bowl and creaming together 2 1/4 cups of sugar and 3/4 pound of softened butter in another bowl. Stir 3 eggs and 1 tablespoon of vanilla extract into the butter mixture, and then slowly add in the flour mixture.
Put it on shortbread cookies just like Garten did on Barefoot Contessa. Use it to frost holiday sugar cookies, festive scones, or any other dessert that needs a little extra sweetness.
