White fish, salmon and prawns are served in a creamy cheese sauce and topped with a cheesy cauliflower mash. Fish pie is a classic British recipe and use mashed potato for the topping. To make this a low carb fish recipe, the versatile cauliflower is used instead.
Keto fish pie without cauliflower! Place fish in a large pot, add water, pinch of salt and clove of garlic and turn the stove onto medium heat. Poach the fish from 5 to 10 minutes from the moment the water starts simmering. When it's done, take out the fish and flake into chunks using forks. Remove all the bones. Boil the eggs.
Add the cream, milk and cloves and bring to a simmer. Add the fish and poach in the pan on a low heat for 10 minutes, stirring regularly. Remove the fish from the pan using a slotted spoon and put into the baking dish you're going to bake the pie in. Continue to simmer the sauce, raising to a medium heat.
Fat & Fabulous Low Carb British Fish Pie is one of my favourite dinners: a traditional British dish that is a seafood take on Shepherd’s Pie. My version tastes simply amazing and is perfectly keto-friendly Just 3.7g net carbs per generous portion. It’s one of those meals that even ketohusband can’t get wrong.
