2. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, stir then reduce heat to low.
3. Cover and simmer on low for about an hour. Cook just until rice is tender, but not mushy. Remove cinnamon stick once cooked. (May need more or less cooking time depending on size of pan you use. There will be some liquid left over that soaks into rice as it sits)
4. Serve warm and top with optional ground cinnamon or raisins as garnish.
