It is easy to find a number of recipes for making goat’s milk lotion, but here are a few to start with. Wash all equipment in hot, soapy water. Combine the oils and shea butter in a pot. Heat until just melted. Add the emulsifying wax, and heat until the wax melts.
So, if your recipe called for 8 oz. of water, use 4 oz. of water to make the lye solution, and set aside 4 oz. of evaporated goat's milk to use later. Prepare to mix your soap like you normally would, but when it comes time to add the lye solution to the oils, add the liquid goat's milk first. Stir it well.
Made with raw goat’s milk, shea butter, and coconut oil, this lotion is great for all skin types. My sister recently added a few goats to their little homestead and started milking them. The milk makes delicious smoothies, homemade kefir and can be enjoyed with a plate of cookies.
Measure out the fats and melt in a double boiler. Add in the emulsifier wax. Once the wax is melted, remove pot from the heat. While the ingredients are melting, add the goat milk and water to a half-gallon mason jar. Place the mason jar in a pot of warm water to warm it up slightly.
